In my opinion this top 10 list is way off. But then again, the list itself is just someone else's opinion.
I simply don't understand how people can deny just how awesome MGS4 is (unless they never played it). And no... Mario Kart Wii is NOT better than MGS4.
The reviewer probably played KZ2 just before reviewing R2.
This might be an opportune moment to remind fellow European users that the PS2 (series 9000) is already retailing for €99,99 in some stores. Theres no excuse not to have one now! It's simply one of the best systems ever, right up there with the Atari 2600 and the NES.
I remember the good old days when you used to troll around the GTforums. Maybe you should go back and spare us the sight of your fanboyism.
@ Le-mo - I hope you've got a really good strategy guide because I spent hours perfecting my strategy in each mission and still the best I got was a B on the hardest ones.
@ SaiyanFury - Persona 4.
That was the first thought that crossed my mind. He didn't turn on the systems because only one of them works.
What's that supposed to mean? Is he suggesting that all the japanese folks that bought PS3s are evil?
I never thought I'd see the day! But it's only fair I guess, considering that every single game powered by the unreal engine runs at a lower resolution on the PS3 (except UT3).
L4D is fun for a few hours but there's just no way it can be considered GOTY against the likes of LBP, Fallout 3, GeOW 2 and MGS4.
And I love the way how some of those guys are running the XMB in the background. It feels like they're trying to prove they're not biased when their list clearly suggests otherwise.
GoW took elements from other games on the market (such as DMC and Shenmue) and mixed them in a way that no one had done before, resulting in a unique experience. And at least the setting and story for the game were fresh. How many action games involving greek mythology had you played before God of War?
Hero of Sparta is just a rip off, plain and simple. Although a good one, it is still just a GoW knock-off. No originality whatsoever.
I would very much prefer to see some of SEGA's lost arcade games in XBLA/PSN, like Star Wars Trilogy, Scud Race, Daytona USA 2.
During the 80s and 90s, those games were SEGA's biggest strength and with XBLA and PSN, they are wasting a chance to produce excellent arcade games once again.
I honestly can't tell. Is it sarcasm?
I'm surprised they didn't nominate Haze for best FPS and Too Human for best RPG. Where's Burnout Paradise, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles...? And what the hell is a "hidden object game"?
Let me just blow up the image 400x and play the video in extreme slow motion. Yeah, because I always play my games blown up 400x and in extreme slow motion.

No... Still can't see the difference.
@ yz250 - Get your eyes checked.
Why would developers abandon their biggest source of revenue?
Seriously, how many more BS articles like this do we have to endure? This can't even be considered news anymore.
So not only do you think you know better than the rest of us but also that your hardware is superior to ours? Talk about self-righteousness!
I sense another DRM screw up on the way.
The box art could feature the IGN watermark.
How come you only have 1 bubble? *sigh* The world is such an unfair place!

Have you ever watched one of his movies? Just try it... Any one of them! Then you'll understand.
Beware though: once you've done it, you can never "unwatche" it.
